Patrice Ables Vance has led a remarkable journey since the establishment of Divas In Power (DIP) in September 2016. The growth of this vision has surpassed her wildest dreams. With over 45 years in sales and marketing and more than 25 years in the travel industry, she found herself at a crossroads, contemplating her legacy. Blessed with two wonderful children, aged thirty-eight and forty-five, four beautiful grandchildren, and three adopted daughters, Patrice realized her calling to give back to at-risk youth. For over 40 years, she has been a foster/adoptive parent, dedicated to helping vulnerable children.
After a decade with Danger Zone Travel, Patrice wanted to give back to her community. With the support of friends and family, she decided to create Divas In Power. As Divas In Power has evolved, so have the mission and vision. The organization has expanded its community service to include not only children but also the elderly, individuals with special disabilities, victims of domestic violence, and those with critical illnesses. Divas In Power is recognized as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to giving back to various communities while fundraising for its mission.
Patrice Ables Vance is the visionary force behind Divas in Power. As the CEO and founder, Patrice has dedicated her life to empowering young girls and women to reach their fullest potential. Under her dynamic leadership, Divas in Power has become a transformative platform that inspires, educates, and uplifts individuals from diverse backgrounds. Patrice’s unwavering commitment to empowerment is evident in her relentless efforts to provide mentorship, resources, and a supportive community to help women thrive. Her belief that “there is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish” fuels her mission, making her a true champion of women’s empowerment and a role model for many.

From the very beginning I had the privilege of witnessing the vision behind Divas in Power firsthand.
When our Founder shared her dream of creating a nonprofit that uplifts, empowers, and provides real solutions for those in need, I knew this was a mission I wanted to help bring to life.
Giving back has always been a part of who I am, from my years as a foster parent, providing love and stability to children, to my passion for researching, to writing, and sharing valuable information that can transform lives. I believe true impact happens not just in the spotlight, but also behind the scenes where strategy, knowledge, and dedication come together to create lasting change.
As Co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of Divas in Power, I am committed to building a strong, sustainable foundation that insure our organization thrives for years to come. My vision is to create innovative ways to expand our research, strengthen our financial resilience, and develop programs that make a tangible difference in the communities we serve.
I believe that empowerment starts with access-to resources, education, and opportunities–and I am honored to play a role in making that possible. Together, we are not just responding to challenges; we are shaping a future where support, knowledge and empowerment, create lasting impact.

I became a board member of Divas In Power because I deeply believe in its mission to uplift, educate, and empower women.
I started volunteering at a young age and learned a sense of community from my grandparents and the church. Whether it was feeding the homeless for Thanksgiving or collecting toys for underprivileged children at Christmas, I knew my passion for giving back would be expanded by joining this prestigious board of women from all walks of life and social backgrounds. Throughout my career, I have witnessed the transformative power of mentorship, leadership, and community support in helping individuals reach their full potential. Joining this esteemed organization allows me to contribute my expertise in notary services, travel advising, and business strategy to help further its initiatives. By serving on the board, I have the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded leaders and create impactful programs that inspire and equip women to excel in their personal and professional lives.
Beyond my professional skills, I am passionate about fostering meaningful change and supporting organizations that prioritize growth and empowerment. Divas In Power embodies these values, and I am honored to be part of a team that is dedicated to making a lasting difference. My goal as a board member is to help shape initiatives that provide mentorship, education, and opportunities for women to thrive.
By leveraging my leadership experience and strategic insight, I aim to support the organization’s vision and ensure its continued success in empowering future generations.

I decided to partner with Divas In Power because its mission aligns perfectly with my passion for empowering women and fostering strong communities.
As someone who believes in the power of mentorship, advocacy, and service, I was drawn to the organization’s commitment to uplifting women and girls worldwide. The five core principles—Excellence in Service, Integrity, Empowerment through Mentorship & Coaching, Service to Communities, and Relationships that Transcend Ethnicity, Backgrounds, and Social Status—resonated deeply with my values.

I decided to join Divas In Power because I have always felt called to be part of a group of professional, Godly women committed to making a difference.
As the Executive Board Secretary, I am especially drawn to the organization’s focus on humility, service, and the shared mission to uplift others. Being surrounded by such an inspiring group of women continues to remind me of the power of unity, compassion, and dedication.
Together, we support each other in both our personal and professional growth, always with a heart to give and to serve.
What truly resonates with me is how Divas In Power continuously strives to meet the needs of communities around the world. No matter the challenge, the Divas are always there, doing everything they can to give back and offer support where it’s needed most. I am Lynn Huddleston and I am the Educational Director for Divas in Power. I have been with the organization since its inception and I am so glad that I got involved.
Initially, I wanted to be apart of the Divas because I wanted to be involved with a group of women that loved to travel and have a great time celebrating all across the world.
When the organization began, it was the vision of our Founder, Patrice Ables Vance, to give back to the community in which many of us lived and worked. I instantly got more intrigued by her vision and knew that being a DIVA was the place I wanted to be.
Divas works within communities both domestically and internationally which is important because we are changing lives everywhere.
Giving back to the community and empowering all women is very beneficial in the world today. Its is very important for women of all ages to thrive in their communities and being able to participate in helping the DIVAS complete this mission are the main reasons why I am glad I am a DIVA IN POWER.
